Space-Plug is delighted to announce it’s shortlisting as Finalist in the ‘BiKKBI Installation Awards’ under the category Environmental Champion of the Year (sponsored by Trend Tool Technology). Nominated by peers in the KBB industry for recognising the huge positive impact Space-Plug’s brand new patented fast fit system called “Evolution” will have on the industry in the years to come.

The last 10 years has seen Space-Plug become the brand synonymous with fast effective fittings for kitchen base units and tying back all manner of KBB furniture. With the launch of Space-Plugs’ new system, “Evolution”, manufacturers will now be, “More Sustainable” whilst, “Saving Money” and including brand new, “Fast-Fit” technology.

Evolution is a three part process. Manufacturers change the base unit cabinet design, but the reward is a saving on material whilst offering a much faster neater fit where service void and installation habits are kept yet the cabinet remains un-harmed. The use of 2 “Space-Plug Datum Pegs” 2 gram measuring sticks replace almost a kilo of material and the simple, secure and perfectly accurate fixing is done through “Space-Plug’s Adjustable Spacer Fixing”.

Space-Plug Ltd was founded to create products that support kitchen, bathroom and bedroom cabinetry manufacturers, carpenters and installers. We innovate and develop products that save time and help reduce wastage in our industry. In 2023 Space-Plug launched and brought to market a new fast fit system (called Evolution). Evolution saves material wastage by allowing manufacturers to make smaller cabinets, without losing the service void as well as speeding up installation times.
